UNDERSTANDING THE RESEARCH PROCESS RESOURCES PSY/300 UNDERSTANDINGTHE RESEARCH PROCESS RESOURCES Research on the social and behavioral processes involves the study of the animal or human functioning at different levels such as the individual, institution, small group, organization, population or the community. At an individual’s level, the research may involve the study of the individual’s behavior such as memory and language.at the higher levels of organization, the research may focus on the various social variables such as the economics of the group. The research on the social and behavioral process involves the study of interactions between the two levels of aggression. The fact of defeating the others and being defeated by a single individual is what makes a person so devastated to the extent of committing suicide. Johnso n (1986) observes that a person’s achievements often matter less than how they have not been able to accomplish their objectives. He further states that being the one of the best in the world has a lesser meaning if there is a person who is better than you. The variables of the study are the person’s expectations and personal satisfaction of the people.Kahneman Miller, (1986) say that the people’s objective and the subsequent outcomes affect the functionality of the person. The intensity of the reaction of the people to particular events is directly proportional to the greater or lesser outcomes. To many the one with the silver medal is better offthan the one with the bronze medal.
